How would you go about selling a website idea to a web developer or entrepreneur?

I’ve got an idea for a website that I think is practical and will work out. Problem is that I don’t know the first thing about starting a website or even starting a business. Also, I don’t have the time considering I have a career and a family. So I’m just wondering if there are ways to sell your ideas to web designers or entrepreneurs.

Before even pitching any viable idea to a web developer or entrepreneur you should prepare a confidentiality log in which anyone who is presented with your concept agrees not disclose the idea to third parties and also acknowledges the fact that on a particular day, time, month and year that all concepts presented by you to them are truly your own invention, etc. That way, you can safeguard yourself from any possible IP thievery down the road by web developers or entrepreneurs.

Good luck!
